Title - Grey Gelding (2003)

Artist - Lucian Freud

Lucian Freud (1922–2011) changed how we look at people. He filled his canvases with human bodies of all types. Some have described his portraits as ruthless, pitiless, clinical and cruel; others see them as intimate and honest records of humanity. This is one of the later works of Freud which isn’t considered his typical painting. Freud spent every spare moment at the races, and later often went to the stables of the Palace cavalry, drawing royal mounts.
